THE COMPANY This is a small estate located very close to the old headquarters of Fabiano, explains Alessandro Fabiano. The company knows the brothers Denis, Fabio and Sonia Doardo since many years because Fabiano itself used their grapes. Starting from the vintage 2017, to follow the historic collaboration, we wanted to combine the distribution of Doardo wines in bottles with those of Fabiano, as a small production of value from the Bardolino and Custoza area.
The Gasperini family has been producing wine since 1909. The current owners Felice and Salvatore Gasperini are third generation wine makers and over the years the company has undergone continuous expansion. Today the company sells its quality wines in the restaurant and wine shop sectors in Italy as well as on the most important foreign markets. As sales increased they increased their vineyards, machinery and production plants. Today the company cultivates 123 acres of prestigious DOC grapes in the Castelli Romani area on three vineyard estates: Azienda Villafranca, the main establishment of the winery in Cecchina di Albano Laziale that includes the DOC grapes of the Colli Albani district; Azienda Falcognana, in the Marino DOC district: The winery in COLLE MATTIA in the Frascati Superior DOCG district. Great effort has been made to introduce international vines like chardonnay and to keep indigenous grapes like malvasia puntinata, bombino and grechetto. Naturally the company has followed the same attitude for red wines concentrating on prestigious grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Montepulciano and Sangiovese and improving part of the wines aged in casks. So there is a wide variety of wines produced, which includes all the denominations in the area. Excellent wines from their winery are Frascati Superior DOCG "COUVAGE" and Castelli Romani DOC Rosso "GASPERINI" BARRIQUE.
Castellani’s business was established in Montecalvoli at the end of the 19th century as Alfred, long-standing wine grower, decides to start bottling and selling his wine. Alfredo’s son, Duilio, together with his brother Mario start off the firm’s expansion period. Duilio, meticulous and diligent man, takes an active part in every working stage. The most important vineyard is the one located in Santa Lucia, in the fertile Arno Valley, where a lively and fit-for-ageing red wine is produced and bottled in typical straw-covered flasks, gaining the interest of transalpine markets. During the following years Duilio’s firstborn son Giorgio, determined and ambitious man, starts large scale export. The 1966 flood causes great damage to the Montecalvoli winery. It is then decided to temporarily transfer the business to the Burchino Estate, on the hills of Terricciola village. Giorgio’s brother, Roberto, brilliant journalist at the newspaper “Il Giornale del Mattino” in Florence rushes to help shovelling mud from the family’s winery. He then decides to stay and contributes to the firm’s evolution. Roberto, cultured and cosmopolitan man, starts a pioneer activity on far-away markets, becoming one of the advocates of Chianti’s international success. The acquisition of Poggio al Casone vineyard coincides with the extension of the winery at the Travalda Estate in Santa Lucia. During the night of New Year’s Day in 1982 a fire burns almost completely down the firm premises. It seems to be the end. But within few months the Castellani brothers acquire the Campomaggio Estate and, thanks to the contribution of Piergiorgio, Roberto’s son, the business gathers strength. Wine-growing and technological researches are furthered by clever specialists such as the oenologist Sabino Russo and the agronomist Carlo Burroni. Today this centenarian firm pursues very enthusiastically the aim of producing wines, which are the expression of one of the greatest oenological regions of the world: Tuscany. “Since 1903 my family has been exporting its own finest Estate wines from Tuscany. We have changed and evolved over the decades, but throughout the years the philosophy of our work has remained consistent: “The quality of the wine begins in the vineyard”, as my ancestors used to say. Today, as we enter this century, our aim and aspiration is what it has always been: to create memorable wines. This is the reason why our work during the last ten years has been so passionate, investing in research and new cellar technologies.” – Piergiorgio Castellani
DE FEUDIS’ TRADEMARK The trademark De Feudis proves the ancient Apulian origin of Fabiano Family. From Sergio De Feudis, at the end of the XVII Century, was born in Trani Antonietta De Feudis, married to Francesco Fabiano, founder of the homonymous winery. Initially built up in the South, particularly in the bulk wine market, moved later to Veneto. First settled in Venezia, where in 1912 Francesco Fabiano, Nicola Fabiano’s son and Francesco and Antonietta’s grandson, opened a wine shop just a few steps from Saint Marco’s Cathedral, carrying on the bulk wine commerce from Puglia; later in Veorna, where he engaged himself in the production and distribution of bottled wine, buying a small estate in the region of the Garda Lake. After more than 100 years of wine making Fabiano decided to come back to its origin and create a new brand of Apulian wines, called indeed De Feudis. This project has been carried out with the help of an old friend who can in turn rely on a long tradition in wine growing and making in Puglia. The De Feudis wines grow out from the cooperation of Fabiano, wine producer since more than one hundred years, and Varvaglione, estimated friend and well-kwon winemaker in Apulien. They celebrate more than one century of history, matching together tradition and experience. DE FEUDIS’ WINES Their selection of wines includes a Verdeca and a Negramaro Rosato IGT Salento, wines with a delicate bouquet, a full richness and pleasant freshness, underlined by a young and clear packaging. There is also Primitivo IGT Puglia, with an intense, fruity bouquet, full bodied but with a pleasant softness suitable for all the courses of a meal. We find the two wines of the LOUNGE line, a Negramaro and a Primitive IGT with a volume of 12.5%, both full-bodied and pleasantly drinkable, thanks to their smooth and velvety flavor. Finally, there is OTTOCENTO, a Primitive DOC from Manduria, made from grapes harvested by hand and put in crates, whose 14% volume and strong, elegant body make it an excellent quality wine. It has an exclusive label and comes in a rather heavy bottle sold in 3-bottle gift case. It is produced in limited number and will only be sold in the best specialty shops to whom Viver will offer it in the coming months.
FABIANO FAMILY: Renowned producers of Veronese wines since 1912. Counting on this tradition our aim is focused on enhancing the image of our company and that of the people who work in it. Great attention to the quality of our wines, added to the professionalism, good service and efficiency of the whole company, allows the Fabiano brand to achieve a position in the top range of the market. This strategy means a daily involvement in the vineyards and cellars where our technicians skillfully work to obtain the best results. These professionals enable us to make each and every one of our wines a quality product as can be seen by their success in markets worldwide. THE HISTORY of Fabiano Family in the wine making industry started in 1912, when Francesco Fabiano, Nicola's son, opened a wine store in Venice, just a few steps from St. Marco's Cathedral. His son Sergio, having made his store very popular in the whole city, started a wine trade throughout the Veneto region. A clever merchant and a charismatic character, in 1955 he engaged himself in the production and distribution of bottled wine, buying a small estate in Lazise, on the Veronese shore of Garda lake, for that purpose. The business flourished at a very rapid pace and in 1968 the plant was moved to its current location in Sona, to an area uniquely suited for wine growing, half way between the city of Verona and Garda lake. Since the '70s and Fabiano is committed to enter in the most important wine markets in the world. During the period between the nineties the early years of 2000 the Fabiano has developed its own wine production which reached now over 50 hectares of controlled vineyard. We had also inaugurated the cellar in San Pietro in Cariano for the fermentation, drying and aging of the wine of Valpolicella wines. All the most prestigious Fabiano production, which includes all the wines with Controlled of Denomination of Origin of the Verona province, is directly overseen from the vineyard to the bottle, in order to ensure authenticity, continuity and high quality level. CELEBRATING WITH VAJO: In 2002 Fabiano was celebrating its 90 anniversary of foundation which occurred way back in 1912. For this event wanted to create a new, flagship wine. We took partly dried Corvina grapes to guarantee body and structure and blended these with Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot to give a touch of modernity to this "Super Veronese" wine. Ten years later, in March 2012, the Fabiano Family celebrated a hundred years of activity, thanking the generations who preceded, as well as the people who are close to the company now. Nicola Fabiano wanted to pay a tribute to the Winegrower with an everlasting work of art. On 24th of March a sculpture was inaugurated and placed at the entrance of the Cellar in Sona. The “Rosso Veronese Vajo” was called “Cent’anni” . Whit this addition to the name the new Vajo Cent’anni will be forever testimony of the story of the Winery. THE WINES: Fabiano production includes all the Verona DOC (denomination of geographical origin). The cellar in the Valpolicella Classical Area is dedicated to the vinification of the well-known high quality wines like Amarone , Ripasso and Recioto, while in the cellar near the Garda Lake takes place the vinification of Lugana DOC “Argillaia” together with Bardolino and Custoza. The range also includes the Soave and Prosecco Castello.
THE ESTATE, THE PEOPLE AND THEIR PHILOSOPHY The cellar is situated in Adro, the heart of Franciacorta. The vineyard, mostly Chardonnay and Pinot black grapes, ranges an area of 12 hectares; Franca Contea is a young firm, but has it’s shoulders generations of farmers; Was born in 1998 from the work of Louis, Michael and Alexandra, who together have embarked on this journey of growth with seriousness and commitment, setting themselves target of high level. The firm aims to excellence for his wines but do not want to get in a “built” way, but through naturals methods, even if this can disadvantage it, because a “built” wine will result much better, but that is the challenge. Franca Contea aims to provide a quality product but genuine from the earth, gathering the fruits of the work that earth can give, and using technology to enhance the territoir. WINEMAKING: MODERN AUTOCLAVES AND SOFT PRESS MACHINE An electronic remote system permits wine making avoiding sulfuric anhydride so it is possible to preserve fragrances and perfumes acquired from grapes during the maturation. Red grapes, with the stalk remover, are previously destemmed to take out the grapes and then pressed. After this operation, must and skins are moved into steel sinks, with a guarantee of high hygiene and cleanliness. In the first days (8-12) of fermentation, must is subjected to a special treatment called delastage: the liquid part of the must is moved,3-5 times per day, over the skins that, acting like a filter, release color and tannin giving high structure to wine. After bottling the wine settles for a few months without light, noises and with temperature and humidity constantly controlled. The evolution of the enologic art in Franca Contea farm starts as soon as the white grapes reach the cellar, which are pressed with an innovative vacuum press (the first in Franciacorta to use it, and between the first in Italy) operating in an inert environment and with a maximum depression of –o.7 atm. This means a shorter oxidation of the must and fragrances preservation and the possibility to carry out the carbonic maceration and cryomaceration.
THE COMPANY Clemente Guasti founded the company in 1946, continuing his family’s historic wine-making traditions. He was a real innovator in terms of production quality and as far back as the 1950’s was already beginning to select grapes from the 20 best growers in the Nizza Monferrato area, thus initiating the concept of the estate-based "cru" for Barbera, a decidedly avant-garde idea for the area back then. At present the company has four large estates of its own, with a total area of 40 hectares, of which 29 in the most favourable positions are given over to vineyards. In the centre of the town which is the recognised home of the highest quality Barberas, the spacious cellars contain large oak barrels for the ageing of up to 1200 hectolitres of wine. After the death of Clemente Guasti, his sons Andrea and Alessandro, who worked alongside him for many years, have followed his winning philosophy, never compromising on quality, and they continue to achieve important accolades nationally and internationally. THE ESTATES Climate and terrain are the most influential environmental factors on grape quality and characteristics; and while the former remains constant and uniform over a vast area, the latter can vary on a much smaller scale. Indeed the terrain found in different parts of the same area may be diverse in terms of type, composition and exposure, thus giving rise to "microclimates" which create a range of different quality products. After years of research and experience, we have located the very best areas in the hills around Nizza Monferrato, with the contribution of many different wineries. The company currently works with its own four large estates: Cascina Boschetto Vecchio: 11 hectares totally, 8 of them are used for vineyards. In the farm there is also a vinification plant for 1500 hectolitre of wine. La Cascina Fonda San Nicolao: 12 hectares totally, 9 of them are used for vineyards. The farm has a big cowshed with 60 head of piedmontese cattle used for natural animal manure of land. La Tenuta Santa Teresa: 2 hectares totally, 1,5 of them are used for vineyards. Here you can find an historical agricultural implements museum with old cars collected from Clemente Guasti. La Cascina Gessara - San Vitale: 10 hectares totally, 6 of them used for vineyards. The farm names derive from piedmontese tradition. The hight quality of earth’ fruits gives us the best wine cru.

“Find you once again in the shade of the fig tree, where the vine embraces the sky…”In 2013 Enrico Piantato, nephew of Clemente Guasti, founder of the homonymic historic winery, decided to leave the legal profession to pursue his dreams and continue the long family tradition. The fertile land of Casalotto di Mombaruzzo, the birthplace of his grandfather, together with the wonderful climatic conditions favour the cultivation of grapes and other fruits such as figs and olives. And it is precisely the memory of the fig tree, under which his grandfather Clemente used to rest, which is the source of inspiration for the birth of "Laficaia".And so the fig tree, fruit and tree, symbol of immortality and fertility, sacred to Dionysus, the God of wine, is destined to remain an emblem of life capable of uniting the earth to heaven.

The wine, for our family, is a story that refers to the past. The grandfather cultivated vines and thus the grandfather of the grandfather. Today,in the groove of the tradition, we bring forward the story of our memory, the area's assets, tales of ancient and blessed island, Sardinia.Sardinia, land of Vermentino and Carignano grapes, harvested in vineyards of the ungrafted island of Sant'Antioco and wisely worked with passion and tradition, is the connecting element between wine territory, culture and traditions. A land rich in history and art, scholars who work with wood craftsmen, artists and literacy that with their skills left a trace in the world, is the main theme of our project.
IN THE HEARTH OF THE COLLIO REGION The Muzic great-grandparents settled in the area of Bivio, within the Municipality of San Floriano, in 1927, when they moved as settlers into a house that had just been rebuilt after the destruction brought about by the First World War. The living quarters, a small yet ancient underground cellar for winemaking, a few vineyards and a handful of fruit orchards to face the poverty characterizing those tough years. Years, though, when the agriculture was revived, varieties of vineyards and fruit trees selected, as reported by the valuable work by Ernesto Massi ‘L’ambiente geografico e lo sviluppo economico nel Goriziano’ (The geographical environment and economic development in the territory of Gorizia), published in 1933. Later, after the Second World War, grandparents Luigi and Jolanda managed to buy the house where they were already living and the first 5 hectares of land, which they had been working for years. It was 1963. In this strip of land, the COLLIO, with its sun-kissed hills and gentle slopes, where the breeze coming from the Adriatic Sea makes the climate milder, the Muzic family continued to work with tenacity and sacrifice. Over the years they have increased the size of their farm, planting new vineyards on the typical ‘ponca’ soils, as marl and sandstone soils are called locally. For more than 20 years now, Ivan Muzic, son of Luigi and Jolanda, has been a beacon for the family-run enterprise. Inspired by his great passion for nature and his land, he is a ‘free spirit’, born to spend his days in the vineyards, in every season, with any weather. Standing on his side are his wife, Orieta, and his two sons - Elija e Fabijan -, both studying Oenology, the art of wine-making, at the Agricultural College in Cividale del Friuli and both passionately helping their father in the farm and in the cellar. The Muzic family work today 16 hectares of vineyards, comprising 14 registered as DOC COLLIO (COLLIO Registered Designation of Origin), and another 2 hectares located in the nearby DOC FRIULI ISONZO (FRIULI ISONZO Registered Designation of Origin) area. WINE CELLAR Our striking cellar is one of the oldest in San Floriano, dating back to the 16th century and recently restored. By a stroke of luck it escaped damage during both World Wars. Its bare stone walls and vaulted ceilings welcome guests and friends for tastings, and in its small oak barrels mature our red wines. Forming with it an artful complex is the modern, state-of-the art cellar managed by Ivan, with the occasional assistance of a winemaking consultant. It houses temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks as well as large oak casks for ageing some of our wines. Our annual production is about 90.000 bottles and is a perfect blend of tradition and innovation. We produce the native-variety wines Malvasia, Ribolla Gialla, and Friulano, plus the dessert wine Picolit, as well as the French varieties brought here in the late 19th century, both whites, Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay, and reds, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
THE WINERY The Negri Winery, founded in 1953 by Nereo Negri, it is specialized in the winemaking of high quality Lambrusco Mantovano. In the ‘70s, the company sees the entrance of the son Roberto, the current owner and oenologist .The company began to invest in vineyards located in Sabbioneta, the best area for the cultivation of Lambrusco wine in the province of Mantua, it is a fertile land bounded by the rivers: The Po and The Oglio. Hence the selection of wines “Roberto Negri.” The company, focused on innovation but always respecting the traditions, produces an outstanding Lambrusco which has its own niche market. This enforces the conviction that even from an “ordinary” wine, which is often considered the Lambrusco, you can get wines able to give you extraordinary emotions. From here our wines including, in addition to the “traditional” Lambrusco (Charmat method) we are proud of our Red and Rosè Lambrusco classic method, a late harvest of Lambrusco and a raisin Lambrusco wine “passito”. Today the company, with its qualified production, is present in the main relevant international market: restaurant industry and wine shops. It has gained significant national and international recognition for the quality of its wines. OUR GRAPES RUBERTI: it is pre-eminently the Mantuan Lambrusco vine, since it is particularly used for this wine, therefore such grapes can be rightly considered as the grapes characterizing the Mantuan Lambrusco. The main properties of such vine are its strong gamy flavour and smell, which can particularly be found in marasca cherries, currants, strawberries and raspberries. Moreover, it also creates a remarkable sourish note, a typical peculiar feature of red wild fruits being not completely ripe; such sourness gives the typical freshness Lambrusco wine is well-known for. SALAMINO: this vine has also wild fruit notes, in terms of taste and smell, but they are sweeter compared to Ruberti vine. For this reason, it is able to smooth the strong nature of Ruberti vine as well as give a bright colour to Lambrusco wine. MAESTRI & MARANI: both these vines show the typical features of red wild fruits and flowers, in terms of taste and smell, but mostly of the less strong ones, such as cherry, blackberry and violet. Both these vines shall not be considered as essential for giving structure to wine. ANCELLOTTA: in terms of smell, the main characteristic of this vine is a very ripe red wild fruit smell. Similar to the smell of sour black cherry and blackberry. Taste and smell are particularly smooth and sweet. This vine is always utilized in Lambrusco wine blending, because it is able to mix and balance smell and taste of other varietis of grapes by giving them harmony and structure. Furthermore, this vine is very important, since it gives a rich colour to the wine.
COMPANYThe wine growing and wine producing activity of the NERA family started in 1940 with Guido Nera, who was succeeded, at the end of the fifties, by his son Pietro, who resolutely and proudly united various hectares of vineyards adjacent to the winery’s original property, which are now owned by the winery Azienda Agricola CAVEN founded in 1982 by the brothers Stefano and Simone Nera.Casa Vinicola Pietro Nera is one of the most important and prestigious wineries in the Valtellina and boasts a long tradition in enhancing and promoting the territory, as well as cultivating vineyards and producing high-quality, unique wines, which have been awarded certifications of merit in various national and international competitions. Terrazze Retiche di Sondrio Rosso, Bianco and Passito Rosso wines. The riserva wines are produced, only in the best years, from grapes picked in historical vineyards that are monitored by the agriculturist and oenologist of the company, Stefano Nera. Among these, we wish to highlight two crus: Valtellina Superiore D.O.C.G. Signorie® Riserva made from grapes picked in a vineyard in the subzone Valgella, in the commune of Chiuro, and Valtellina Superiore D.O.C.G. Paradiso® Riserva, derived from grapes from a vineyard in the subzone Inferno, straddling the communes of Poggiridenti and Tresivio. Born in the marvellous Franciacorta region. Pavó represents a new, young reality, whose history and production philosophy revolve entirely around the figure of the peacock, an animal symbol of vanity and beauty. The production range of this winery is in fact made up of labels that want to draw attention first through aesthetics but which promise a faithful correspondence to taste.Pavò is mainly Franciacorta DOCG, a denomination that explores in three dosages: the Brut marks the stylistic imprint of the cellar, accompanied by a marvelous Satèn with a velvety consistency and an Extra Dry unique of its kind, characterized by a greater structure that perfectly combines with a delicate softness.
Cantina Toblino can be defined a co-operative composed of a large number of small wine growers. Built up around 1960 by a small group of wine growers, that could perceive the quality potential of wines produced in the Lakes Valley, today it collects and vinifies the grapes of about 600 associated small farmers, which operate in a charming landscape characterized by a peculiar climate that makes possible to obtain wines marked by distinctive regional typicity. Thanks to the constant ventilation coming from the nearby Garda Lake, soils with extremely varied compositions and an altitude band ranging from 150 to 800 m a.s.l., every different grape variety can express in the final wine outstanding varietal notes. Vineyards located in the plain of the River Sarca (150-400 meter a.s.l.) take advantage from a particular dry and airy climate. The soil, dry and rich in gravel, and the interaction between the "Ora del Garda", a warm wind coming from the south-west of Lake Garda in the afternoons, and the cooler winds coming from the north and blowing through the narrow valley of Limarò, ensure a wide temperature range between daytime and the night. Vineyards located at a higher altitude in the hills and mountains of the Cavedine Valley and Bleggio near Stenico, take advantage from particular pedo-climatic conditions, which are the secret of the aroma and elegance of some wines such as Müller Thurgau and Kerner. The so called “mountain wines” grown up in vineyards which can reach altitudes of 800 metres. Only in these areas, thanks to the fresh climate and the wide temperature range, they can fully express the character of the grape variety, giving the wine a refinement, complexity and unique structure. Wine growing is carried out by single farmers with absolute attention to ecological sustainability. The co-operative Toblino has bought in 1999 a big farm just in front of the winery, property of the Diocesan Institute of the Trent Clergy, where grapes are grown organically. On a vineyard surface of about 40 hectares, 12 hectares were replanted and trained in Guyot with some particular and experimental varieties. In the remaining 28 hectares, trained in Trentino-type pergola, vines have been thinned in order to reduce yield. The first productions have been already selected and bottled. From this farm come the grapes used to make our precious “eLimarò”. The vinification cellar has a modern photovoltaic power system to produce electricity from renewable sources of energy and can therefore reduce the environmental impact. Oenological practices carried out in the cellar are aimed to reach wines, which are respectful of the quality and the tipicity of the autochthone grapes.

It will be his son Maurizio to start the production and commercial activity in 1993 with the first production of Rosso di Montalcino and in 1998 with the Brunello, vintage 1993.Today the company boasts of a new winery, built in 2009, equipped with all the equipment but at the same time has a classic, traditional style with its structure entirely in stone and stone. The company in total owns 5 hectares of vineyard, divided into:One hectare and two thousand meters in Montalcino, Località Benducce with South - East exposure with an altitude of 500 meters; Two hectares and eight thousand meters in Castelnuovo dell'Abate, with South-West exposure with an altitude of 300 meters; In addition we have two plots of land for rent, equal to one hectare and five thousand meters, one with North - West exposure and one South - East; The microclimate is certainly favorable for the wine activity, thanks to the proximity of the sea and Mount Amiata. The soils are mainly composed of galestro and rock, this favors a good drainage of rainwater. We tried to keep a part of the vineyard terraced, as it was in the Tuscan culture. The vines are aged between 7 and 30 years. The rearing system is spurred cordon, 4,200 vines per hectare.Within our company we grow only the Sangiovese Grosso called Montalcino Brunello, with a production of 60 quintals of grapes per hectare. The vineyards and olive groves are cultivated in a guided struggle, without use of herbicides and with organic fertilization. Being a small family-owned company, most of the work is done manually, like the harvest that takes place in September and October.
